Overall, the U.S. newspaper industry’s annual sales from phrasing advertising eat plunged during exactly $12 billion, or 25 percent, since 2006. Annual profits from ads on newspaper Web sites has climbed $445 million in that delay – not exactly ample to cosset up during the losses on the phrasing side.
